Promotes community healing and planning to address a variety of community problems including: substance abuse, historical trauma, suicide, and behavioral health
Focus areas include safe housing, basic needs, culture and language preservation, emergency assistance programs, organic gardens and food, schools and youth centers, women’s health, and seasonal programs. Running Strong implements their own programs but also supports independent groups who align with their mission, such as nonprofits, community centers, and grassroots projects.
National Native Children’s Trauma Center works with tribes to address traumatic stress in Native youth.
Helps high schools, school districts, and their partners design and implement strategies to prevent suicide and promote behavioral health among their students.
Supports education and career programs, character and leadership programs, health and life skills, the arts programs, sports, fitness and recreation programs, specialized programs.
