Native Youth Priorities Take Center Stage in New Report

Center Us features data by Native youth, for Native youth and sheds light on cultural strengths, resource gaps and more.

As we prepare for Native American Heritage Month – a time during which we honor our history and celebrate the diverse cultural identities and continued resilience of our people – it is important to remember that Native youth perspectives are rarely prioritized in data collection and analysis.

Center Us: A Native Youth Survey Report attempts to do both.

It is our hope that you read, reflect and reshare this data to advocate for the future our youth deserve. One with unwavering access to culturally-competent healthcare, reliable public safety and affordable education. One where they feel represented by their elected officials.

We envision a world in which all Native youth feel connected to their cultures and confident in their unique identities. Where Native traditions are valued, preserved and passed along for generations to come.

While Center Us is an immensely important step forward, we recognize our work is not done. We will continue to prioritize research that uplifts Indigenous knowledge and the voices of Native youth. Learn more about our commitment to Research & Data. Read other Reports & Publications.
