CNAY Offering Microgrant Funding for CA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles, CA is home to the largest urban Native American population in the United States. In response to the ongoing wildfire crisis in Los Angeles and Southern California, the Center for Native American Youth is able to offer five $1,000 micro-grants to Native youth who want to help rebuild their community. 

Native youth (ages 18-24) can apply for up to $1,000 in funding through the Democracy is Indigenous initiative for community-centered relief events and services, including but not limited to:

  • Community feeds during wildfire relief activities (rebuilds, donation events, etc)
  • Clothing drives or distributions
  • Food/water distribution
  • Community healing convenings
  • Rebuild planning meetings

*NOTE: If your application is approved, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive funds. Please keep this in mind when describing how these funds will be used.
