Jeidah DeZurney (she/her), is a 24 year old member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, her bands are Chetco, Euchre Creek, Galice Creek, Klamath River, Molalla, Sixes, Tututni, and Yamhill. Jeidah is a Program Manager at Multnomah Education Service District (MESD) for Native Youth and Family Support. Jeidah also serves as a tribal youth delegate for the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board, is the Siletz Tribal Youth Council president, an advisory board member for Nesika Wilamut, co-founder of the Siletz Regalia Sharing Co-op, and a past earth ambassador for United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY). Jeidah continues to advocate for the holistic wellbeing and cultural connectedness of Native youth throughout organizations and her job. As a first generation college student, Jeidah has a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology from Willamette University, additionally as a student athlete she threw the hammer and discus in track and field. Recently Jeidah has enjoyed coaching a local high school team in Portland, Oregon. On the weekends Jeidah enjoys taking her dogs out for a walk, or making traditional regalia and art with her cousin for their co-op. Shu’ ‘aa-shin in-la, thank you.
