CNAY is thrilled to announce that applications for the 2025 Remembering Our Sisters cohort are now open! The six-month fellowship will run from March to September 2025. We invite young Indigenous women and femme-identifying leaders (ages 18-24) who are passionate about bringing attention to MMIWG2S+ to apply.
Six youth will be selected to participate, receiving micro-grants and technical assistance to create digital art projects that raise awareness of the MMIP crisis. These projects can take various forms, including audio stories, videos, paintings, toolkits and podcasts.
Completed Remembering Our Sisters applications are due by January 15, 2025 at 11:59pm EST.
Submission Eligibility
- Self-identify as a Native or Indigenous
- Female or femme-identifying
- 18-24 years old
- Passionate about bringing attention to MMIP
- Interested in digital advocacy & art
Expectations
In addition to completing projects, Fellows are expected to commit time to various related activities, including:
- Remembering Our Sisters Virtual Week (March 10-14, 2025): All selected Fellows are requested to attend four 90-minute nightly Zoom meetings to kick-off the program.
- Monthly Zoom Sessions: All selected Fellows are requested to attend monthly 60-minute Zoom meetings where they will network with one another, learn from MMIWG2S+ leaders and activists and receive support for their projects.
- In-Person Closing Convening (September 24-27, 2025): All selected Fellows are requested to attend the final closing convening. CNAY will pay for all lodging, travel and food costs associated with the event.
