Tristan Espinoza

Tristan Espinoza (Osage) is a senior at Columbia University, majoring in Political Science. He is also a freelance journalist at Osage News and is active with Columbia University’s Indigenous Peoples’ Initiative and Native American Council.

Get Out the (Freshman) Vote: During Fall 2024, Tristan engaged as many students from the Columbia University Class of 2028 as possible to help educate students about their right to vote. Tristan distributed more than 300 locally made cookies and registered 53 students to vote. Tristan also conducted a survey to find out which states students were registered to vote. Of the 314 students Tristan engaged, 261 were registered to vote already.
