The Naat’aanii Youth Council at the Navajo Preparatory School decided to interview members of the public to share diverse perspectives on the importance of voting. Through the interviews, the Youth Council learned about the struggles that people on the reservation face when it comes to voting. Some people don’t know their physical address if they live in rural locations resulting in an inability to vote. The Youth Council felt inspired to both spend more time supporting local community votes and to also register to vote when they turn 18.
