Linaly Miyamoto

2024 Remembering Our Sisters Fellow

Coast Salish Cowichan

Linaly (Linh) Miyamoto (she/her) is a rising junior at the University of Maryland in College Park, majoring in Information Science and minoring in Global Terrorism Studies. Linh grew up with her father and her grandparents and from them had an interest in domestic terrorism and human trafficking, particularly in Native American and Indigenous communities. Furthermore, she hopes to learn from her elders and leaders in the community during the fellowship.

 About Linh’s Project

Linh used her time as a 2024 Remembering Our Sisters Fellow to develop MMIP Map – an interactive website where users can see the locations and details of MMIP cases across the country.

The project is dedicated to raising awareness about the ongoing epidemic and contributing to the pursuit of justice. Linh’s mission is to create a platform that visually represents the magnitude of this issue by mapping the locations of reported cases across different regions of Turtle Island.
