ABOUT THIS PIECE
My art piece “The Indigenous Way” was created by me during my freshman year at Riverton High school. This was inspired by my art teacher, Mrs. Graysinner. She gave me the idea to create a piece from my background as a native american. The three pieces i included in this painting was the jingle dress dancer, teepees, and a horse. The dancer represents using our tradition of healing through dance. The two teepees represent our safe place. The horse represents a symbol of power and success.
