ANTHONY

I was born in Albuquerque and moved to Alamo Navajo Reservation in sixth grade. My mom still lives in Albuquerque. I am on the track team and I skateboard. We just won 4th place in the 1600 Medely. I draw for fun and to find some peace inside. I entered a painting in the Heard Museum Student show and won an honorable mention and some prize money. It made me feel good.

ABOUT THIS PIECE

My self portrait shows me feeling sad about something I don’t want to share. That’s why I draw to express my feelings when I can’t talk about it. I don’t think I would do be able to manage as well without art. This is my life.
