Chayla Jewel Russell

Chayla “Jewel” Russell (she/her) is Northern Salish and a Flathead Nation member. She is currently enrolled at Williston State College in Williston North Dakota. She is focused on getting her A. A Business degree to pursue a career within nonprofit organizations that are centered around Native American youth and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women/ People. In Jewel’s first semester of college, she joined student lead organizations such as the Student Senate, FBLA Club (Future Business Leaders of America), and Diversity Club. Jewel shows her leadership by participating in fundraising, organizing events, and raising awareness within her college campus. In the summer of 2023, she will be joining the Lifeguard group organization in Missoula, Montana for an internship, to pursue and gain experience within her chosen career in Nonprofit organizations that help the less fortunate and focus on family values.
