Submission 1: I believe that a home is not a place with four walls and a roof over our heads. Home is feeling. I believe that home is where individuals become themselves. Growing physically, spiritually, and mentally. It forms who they become. Home is me making experiences and using them to guide and help me. Home can take many forms for a person, but for me, it is this.

Submission 2: This piece represents a different aspect of a home and how it can affect someone in a negative way. It is sad to say as a fellow youth of the Native American community that a lot of our family resort to negative things. Instead of voicing our concerns, we handle them in a different way. We’ve got to show our good and ugly side because we are all human. To me, a piece of artwork can say so much more than words ever could.
