Center for Native American Youth Announces 2024 California Native Youth Collective Cohort 

Sacramento, Ca: The Center for Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute is excited to announce the 2024 California Native Youth Collective (CNYC) Cohort. The 2024 Ambassadors will join a network of Native youth leaders from across the state of California ready to hone their leadership skills, amplify their voice, and advocate for their communities at the local, state, and national level. 

The 2024 Cohort will kick off on January 29 and 30 with a convening of the full group of Ambassadors in Sacramento, California. The event will include networking, coalition building, and leadership and advocacy training at The California Endowment, and a visit to the William Franklin Sr. Monument in Capital Park. 

The 2024 California Native Youth Collective Ambassadors are: 

  • Ethan Molina, Huichol 
  • Ignacio Taylor, Wichita and Affiliated Tribes 
  • Toipureenah Xikomkiaweetl Orozco, Mazahua/Huichol/Raramuri
  • Ashley Davis, Big Sandy Rancheria 
  • Citlaly Ortega, Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians 
  • Carmen Davila, Round Valley Indian Tribe 
  • Gerald Britton III, Round Valley Indian Tribe
  • Nadia Torres Davila, Round Valley Indian Tribe
  • Angelina Hinojosa, Pinoleville Pomo Nation 
  • Anagali (Shace) Duncan, Cherokee Nation 
  • Danielle Frank, Hupa and Yurok 
  • Sophia Madrigal, Cahuilla Band of Indians 

The Center for Native American Youth (CNAY) selects Native youth throughout the state to join the California Native Youth Collective (CNYC) and engage in CNAY’s leadership training, develop interventions to improve outcomes in their communities, and have a seat at the table for policy conversations at the state and national level.
