William White is an 18-year-old freshman, pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. His academic journey is guided by a passion for leveraging technology to empower communities. Proudly of Choctaw descent, he is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the Cherokee Nation, where he lives and works.
At the age of five he was placed in the foster care system with his siblings, residing in 21 placements in three years. Through this fellowship, he wants to improve his advocacy skills and bring messages from youth to decision makers to affect positive change. He hopes to enhance the overall foster care system by reducing the traumas he experienced.
