Jo Long

Jo Long (they/them) is a sophomore pursuing a Biology BS with focuses in Environmental Science, Native American & Indigenous Studies, and American Studies. Jo is the President of the Native American Student Association at Indiana University Bloomington. Jo is a descendant of the Sicangu, Lower Brule Lakota and Yankton Dakota peoples.

In Jo’s first semester, they served as the Vice-President for the Native American Student Association until their second semester, in which they became the President. Jo also serves on the Dean’s Cabinet of Student Leaders and is the co-founder of a student led BIPOC coalition.
