Through a series of celebratory events, the Center for Native American Youth announced its inaugural class of Champions for Change in March 2013. In addition to speaking and participating in these recognition events in Washington, DC, the Champions are currently serving a two-year term on the CNAY Youth Advisory Board.

Our Champions continue to be recognized at the local, state, and national levels. In its first year, the CFC program has created new connections and opportunities for the 2013 CFCs, including invitations to attend conferences; speaking engagements at events; youth leadership and advocacy training opportunities; partnership building for funding opportunities for youth-led initiatives and more! Continued engagement and participation through the Youth Advisory Board ensures youth input, vision, and perspective on the Center’s work and future development.
The inaugural CFC class works closely with other Champions to contribute this valuable perspective.
